Overweight and Obesity

Overweight and obesity are the primary negative consequences of improper nutrition.

Such conditions lead to a shorter life span and also increase the number of health problems. These conditions can appear at any age, in any country, and among people of different professions and social groups.

Various diseases, such as cardiovascular problems, diabetes, different types of cancer, and many others, are some of the consequences of weight gain.

Moreover, these conditions also lead to a deterioration of the immune system, higher susceptibility to diseases, and affect work performance.

Mortality due to diseases caused by overweight and obesity amounts to tens of millions of human lives each year.

In the 21st century, problems of air and water pollution, as well as product contamination, have become so serious that the health of people all over the world has been affected.

Pollution of the environment is one of the factors leading to overweight. Proper nutrition is vitally important in trying to eliminate harmful elements and prevent damage to someone's health.

Most health-related problems can be resolved by a well-balanced nutrition plan.

Accordingly, the main aim of World Health Nutrition Organization is to promote proper and well-balanced nutrition.
